In the latest issue of the Iranian Journal of Public Healt, one can read the article entitled Massive Health Record Breaches Evidenced by the Office for Civil Rights Data. This work was created as a result of cooperation between scientists from the Department of Complex Systems PRz (M. Mazurek, D. Strzałka), Laurentian University in Sudbury (W. W. Koczkodaj), Medical University in Lublin (J. Masiak) and Saratov Medical University (P. F. Zabrodskii). In the article based on data obtained from Internet Live Stats (www.internetlivestats.com//) attention was drawn to the serious problem and the potential consequences of violations of medical data collected by institutions dealing with health care in the USA. According to the statistics presented from the beginning of 2009, medical data of more than half of the population of US residents have been stolen. This work is a continuation of the study entitled Electronic Health Record Breaches as Social Indicators published in the journal Social Indicators Research.
