On 27 - 29th of March in Warsaw the 23rd Conference on Automation - Innovations and Future Perspectives, Automation 2019 has been hosted at Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measurements. As part of the conference a monograph Automation 2019 Progress in Automation, Robotics and Measurement Techniques was published. One of the chapter - Infrastructure of RFID-Based Smart City Traffic Control System presents a solution of using RFID system in Smart City. A chapter was prepared by a team in which one of a member is employee of our Department - MSc. Eng. Mateusz Salach. Today, during the conference Mateusz presented a chapter with research results.
Infrastructure of RFID-Based Smart City Traffic Control System presents usage of RFID transponders implemented in the city infrastructure for monitoring and traffic management in real time. Based on usage of RFID transponders/readers it is possible to for managing access to restricted areas for any vehicles or redirecting to side-roads to avoid and neutralize traffic jams during rush ours.
