PhD. Eng. Marek Bolanowski and PhD. Eng. Andrzej Paszkiewicz participated in the KKIO 2019 conference. KKIO Software Engineering Conference is a prime software engineering conference organized annually by Polish Information Processing Society. The 21st edition was organized in Bialystok, quickly growing IT hub. The aim of KKIO 2019 is to stimulate research and to promote cooperation between science and industry, and also the polish governmental bodies. During the conference they presented an article: Software for integration of manufacturing resources in the hybrid cloud model for Industry 4.0. In the paper, the authors presented a new model of software development for the implementation of a service supporting the design and manufacturing process intended mainly for Industry 4.0. This model is based on distributed resources which integration and control occurs using centralized components. This approach has enabled the development of a hybrid cloud model that combines the advantages of centralized and distributed processing.
Research in this area was carried out as part of task 2 of the project “Regional Center of Excellence for Automation and Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications at Rzeszów University of Technology” financed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland.
