Open days
On April 20-21, 2023, the "Open Days" of the Rzeszów University of Technology took place, during which the employees of our Department also actively participated.
Participation of the Department of Complex Systems in the event
On the second day, during the Open Days of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering interested students and teachers from secondary schools had the opportunity to visit our teaching facilities, including:
- Laboratory of Computer Networks - Piotr Hadaj M.Sc. and Krzysztof Smalara M.Sc.
- Virtual Reality Laboratory - Mateusz Salach M.Sc., Michal Ćmil M.Sc.
During the open days of the Faculty, as part of the "VIA CARPATIA Polytechnic Network" project, thematic lectures for high school students were also planned, which were conducted by:
- Paweł Dymora, Ph.D. Eng.
- Mirosław Mazurek, Ph.D. Eng.
- Mariusz Nycz Ph.D. Eng.
- Bartosz Kowal M.Sc
In addition, in building V, the Faculty's stand was prepared, which was very popular among visitors. One of the positions of the Faculty was operated by Krzysztof Smalara, M.Sc.
IT Olympiad – Keep It Secure
During the open days, an IT Olympiad "Keep It Secure" was held, addressed to secondary school students. The aim of the Olympiad is to test students' knowledge of cybersecurity issues and to motivate them to develop in this direction. The organizers of the Olympiad are employees of the Department of Complex Systems WEiI PRZ - Mariusz Nycz, Ph.D. Eng. Paweł Dymora Ph.D. Eng., Vice-Dean Mirosław Mazurek Ph.D. Eng. and the Polish Information Technology Society, Subcarpathian branch.
