Rzeszow – the capital of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship located in southeastern Poland. It has its unique charm and atmosphere. A city overrun by a young population. According to a recent Eurostat study, it is the leader in Europe in terms of the number of students. There are as many as 353 of them per 1,000 residents. It is considered one of the safest cities in Poland. A space with a very developed infrastructure: shopping malls, cinemas, theatres, art galleries and museums. The area is known for its thriving aerospace industry - the “Aviation Valley,” which concentrates numerous companies, as well as training and research centres. There are more than 26,000 businesses in the city, served by more than 800 financial and business-related institutions.

Advanced Research Workshop (ARW) supported by NATO is organized in cooperation with the Rzeszow University of Technology. Ignacy Łukasiewicz Rzeszow University of Technology is a state-funded academic university that makes up a part of the Polish national education and science system. Rzeszow University of Technology offers its students a wide variety of programs and courses. It also undertakes research and scientific projects in the following specialized fields of the applied sciences: engineering, mathematics, physics, and economics, as well as the chemical and biological sciences. Through its multilateral cooperation with entrepreneurial and industrial entities, the University carefully constructs and tailors its academic programs to offer students and graduates the most rewarding hands-on experience, benefitting the development of their professional careers on both a local and national level.
